Traffic Lanes and Footpaths
- All roads and streets in every mahalla or community should be appropriately planned, well constructed and adequately maintained.
- This is probably the only city on earth that does not have a map with actual names of all streets. A complete street map of the city should be published.
- All footpaths should be maintained properly and kept clean and clear for people to walk. No wilful occupation of footpaths, however temporary, should be allowed.
- Streetlights should be fixed on all roads, streets and pathways on a priority basis.
- Hydrants to supply water for fire fighting and to wash the streets should be re-instituted to keep the roads clean and to reduce air pollution.
- Compensation should be given to landowners whose land is taken to widen roads, pathways, streets and footpaths.
